Check out these amazing gals who will be taking to the tropical waters this September… you might even pick up some tips and tricks!
Hailing from Brisbane Australia, Simone trains every day. In 2016, she fractured her pelvis in four places while training for an Ironman race – Ocean Swim Fiji is her comeback! Simone keeps herself motivated to train daily by mixing up her pool routine with some running. Way to go Simone and anyone else who is using Ocean Swim Fiji as motivation to get moving again.
Toni, a well-rounded athlete from Napier, trains with a mix of cycling, running, and swimming. Besides Ocean Swim Fiji, Toni is training for the 2019 Napier Harbour to Hills triathlon and an Ironman race in 2019. In just 222 days, she went from two RPM sessions a week to completing a half ironman – and she shows no signs of slowing down.
Wanita is coming to Fiji with an entourage in tow! From Kapiti, she’ll be joined by her partner Chris and four friends with their families – now that’s a support crew. Wanita needs no extra motivation, as she loves pool swimming, but she has recently started training with the Raumati Masters Swimming Club to give her that extra push when she needs it. Fiji is her main fitness goal right now, but she looks forward to more swimming events in her future, like the Kapiti to Mainland and Rotorua Blue Lake Swims.
