Think you know it all? Train like a pro and take your swimming to new levels

Swim alongside three ocean swimming legends at Ocean Swim Fiji. Fit and Abel’s Dan Abel, Oceanfit’s Andre Slade, and Bondi Rescue’s Andrew ‘Reidy’ Reid will be joining us in September. These internationally renowned swimmers will be attending the social events, taking to the water beside swimmers, and holding an open water swimming clinic for participants registered before Wednesday 30 May. Take your swimming to new levels by training with these epic swim pros.

After Swim Event 2 at Natadola Beach on Saturday 15 September, Dan, Andre and Reidy are hosting an ocean swimming clinic to share tips and hone techniques at 4 PM on the Sofitel beachfront. Ocean Swim Fiji participants who get in early will have exclusive access to this open water swimming masterclass. Head home from Fiji with unforgettable memories and outstanding swimming skills!

Learn more about the Legends

Dan Abel

Kiwi open-water swimming specialist, Dan Abel has smashed legendary swims all around the globe, from the Cook Strait to the English Channel – and, most recently, a circumnavigation of Rarotonga in under 11 hours.

Dan runs Fit & Abel, a swim coaching and water safety school out of Christchurch. He’ll be sharing his open water expertise and swimming in a few of the events to offer support and show just how it’s done. We can’t wait to hit the tropical waters with Dan!

Andre Slade

Based at the world-famous Bondi Beach, Andre’s swim school OceanFit has been introducing beginners to ocean swimming since 2009. Andre will be in Fiji to give you confidence in your ability, develop your efficiency in open water, and make you feel in control in the ocean.

As a bonus, Physiotherapist Juliann will be on hand to offer advice on any injury niggles and teach smarter warm up exercises that will reduce injuries and have you firing in the water.

Andrew ‘Reidy’ Reid

Reidy is best known for saving lives on the hit TV Series Bondi Rescue, but he does so much more. As a teen, Reidy reached over 120 kg but through determination and hard work, he has become the fitness nut he is today. While he still lifeguards in Sydney, you can catch Reidy participating in triathlons, Ironman competitions, and supporting various charities.

Reidy will be taking part in some of the swims and emceeing social events.

These guys are the pros so you’ll want to soak up all their advice! Secure your space before Wednesday 30 May to get in their exclusive clinic.
